The very first page is a very obvious callback to the introduction of Undertale. A lot of people like to interpret that introduction's art as the human and monster that stand next to each other also being the ones who fight in the war head to head. It's an interesting interpretation, and it applies here too, I think. Though, like a lot of the things in this comic, it wasn't intentional, but it can grow to be a lot more important if I, as the author, or you, as the reader, choose for it to. That's what the point of this commentary as a whole is, giving you a more detailed perspective on smaller things you may not have noticed or given much thought to, and letting you extrapalate a deeper understanding of this story through that. There aren't many details here though the early pages suck
